We're so excited to be back for a full 2022-2023 youth season (and adults, too, of course)!
We will be holding tryouts/an open gym for the Dalkey Devils U16s teams on Saturday, the 27th of August from 10am to midday at Castlepark school in Dalkey (https://goo.gl/maps/iK8ogxykPK121aA49).
To be eligible to compete in the U16 league, the player must have been born later than June 1st, 2006. For players before before that day you have the option of the women’s or men’s team or the Monday and Friday night fun sessions to hone your game.
We will be entering two teams into the National League this year, an advanced team and a foundations team. The advanced team will train twice a week, Mondays from 7-9 and Wednesdays from 7:30-9:30. The foundations team will train once a week, on Wednesday from 7:30-9:30.
We will also be looking to add a U16 boys team, which would train Wednesdays from 6-7:30 and Fridays from 6:30-8:30.
Matches are typically played the second Saturday of each month from October to April, but this may change this year.
The membership fee for players on the foundations and beginner teams will be €220 for the year, and for the advanced juniors and new U16s boys team it will be €360 for the year due to increased training opportunities.
Due to the increase in teams, we are always looking for parent volunteers who would be willing to help at training sessions. Volleyball experience is not needed, our coaches will work with you in the sessions. Garda vetting would be required, which we can also facilitate.
There will be a beginners’ session on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:30 for those players not quite ready for the competitive teams. There will be a waitlist for this training session if there is more interest than we can accommodate in the gym. If you’ve previously been a member with the club you’ll be given first priority.
